I concur with Snapper2's point about "chunin-level kunoichi". I think saying "Sakura is a Chunin from Konohagakure" is enough. As long as we link the "Chunin" part, anybody can click it and find out what it means. What do the others think about this? If a change is to be made though, can somebody write a bot to do it?--Karunyan (talk)11:43, August 5, 2013 (UTC)

If ppl aren't up to date on naruto the site gives fair warning of spoilers. That Includes episodes, manga, video games, movies etc. it's no one fault if a person hasn't watched the latest episode and ppl are discussing. Forums: Index Narutopedia Discussion Spoilers in lead summaries

I remember there being a discussion back when Dantman was actively editing about why Narutopedia uses first appearance images for infoboxes. The reason given was that if we used an "up-to-date" image, that would be a huge spoiler right at the top of the page.

Although we can't avoid putting big-time spoilers out there anyway (anybody who's googled "Tobi" knows that!) I wondered if there are any opinions on cutting down the amount of spoiler content in lead section summaries. For example, Naruto's lead says he wishes to be Hokage like his father was. Maybe it could just say Naruto wishes to be Hokage and then reveal his father's identity somewhere down the page.

I know there's no way of figuring out where to draw the line but just wondering what everybody's opinion on this is.--Karunyan (talk) 05:27, August 3, 2013 (UTC)

No, I don't agree with removing spoiler content from anywhere on any article. It gives a good overview of the article before it's seen. --Speysider Talk Page | My Image Uploads | Tabber Code | Channel 16:53, August 3, 2013 (UTC)
Speysider is not wrong but I can understand the reasoning Karunyan. Perhaps we can make it more of an introduction as opposed to a tl;dr of the entire article. Provide information but not everything. /shrug--TheUltimate3 Allied Shinobi Forces Symbol (talk) 16:57, August 3, 2013 (UTC)
That's pointless. The infobox, which is on the top of every page already spoils almost everything for you. There is already a spoiler warning on homepage, might just add it to the Sitenotice aswell.-- ~ UltimateSupreme 17:25, August 3, 2013 (UTC)
Even if spoilers aren't a real concern, some of the intros do need work. Most main characters have a problem of "too much information", or at least "too much recently revealed information". For example: with Naruto it's not really important to say his father was Hokage or that he's an Uzumaki on his mother's side; with the Nine-Tails it's not important to explain its previous jinchuriki; Madara's delves into more of his history than is necessary; Obito's needlessly references Rin. Kakashi's is a good example of being to the point.
While we're on the subject, the intro formula of X is a Ynin-level shinobi/kunoichi is really redundant. Genin means "low[-level] ninja", so why say "Naruto is a low[-level] ninja-level shinobi"? It's like saying "automated ATM machine". ~SnapperTo 17:53, August 3, 2013 (UTC)
Snapper2 just said what I wanted to say but smarterer.--TheUltimate3 Allied Shinobi Forces Symbol (talk) 18:13, August 3, 2013 (UTC)
You read this wiki at your own risk, you are warned at nearly every page that there are spoilers. Rainbow Shifter 18:17, August 3, 2013 (UTC)
