Should we include spoilers in our article in this wiki or keep the suspense of reading the manga by there selfs or something Wikepedia which display SPOILER ALERTSDarkLordofChaos90 05:04, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

Excluding spoilers means we exclude a massive ammount of content from the wiki. Our job is to gather together every bit of information on the series we can and format it into a encyclopedia which the general reader can read. That also includes episode summarys and outlines of the entire episode (we can source other people's work for the latter). Dantman (Talk) 11:43, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
Dantman, I must agree that we will be excluding alot of info but this is for the PEOPLE. I think that some won't like the spoilers. For example, how would you like it if someone told you that Asuma dies? I don't really care about it because I just want Naruto info but others might. Just put yourself in that kind of situation and see what you would like.

That is what we have spoiler tags for. No matter how much you want to, you can't remove every bit of spoiling info for one person and keep a proper set of info. Our job is to document on everything, it's the readers job to watch for our notifications that they might be ventureing into an area that they don't want to read. An encyclopedia is a gigantic spoiler, if people don't want information then they won't look for it. Using info even though they are spoilers may make some people a little unhappy, but excluding the info just because they are spoilers will make a larger audience unhappy, and worse, the issue won't be to much info, but lack of info. And lack of info is always worse than to much info because with to much info you can always ignore the extras, but if you're missing it, there is no way to find it. It's generaly accepted that these kind of places are full of spoilers, in fact, the InuYasha Wiki uses a spoiler notification on the front page instead of using spoiler tags. (Though I may change that.) I'm thinking that our main issue here is not understanding the reasons behind standards used elsewhere. Dantman (Talk) 23:54, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
Okay, so we have decided that we WILL include spoilers and will warn people about them. But that brings up the question of where. I think that we could put the warning in the main page untill we are able to put the warining in all articles. -LoneWolf 5
How bout both. Slap on the {{spoiler|start}} {{spoiler|end}} in every place it's needed (nicely placed inside of the Charinsert box, so just point and click). And I'll slap on a big notification that this is full of spoilers on the Main Page. Dantman (Talk) 02:02, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
