Hello,
I know it says in the image policy that a colour manga image is preferable to an anime image, but in practice the anime images are used rather than the manga ones. However, now some of the anime pictures of characters post-timeskip appearances have been exchanged from anime to manga images. I'm just wondering, how's it gonna be, because if the manga is to prefer many character profile pictures should be exchanged, if not these pictures (Team 10 and 11 members) should be changed back. --89.160.10.177 (talk) 20:19, July 17, 2010 (UTC)
- I don't remember anything about colour manga images being preferred over anime images, in fact it should be the other way around, unless there's a good reason not to the anime image should be used. Just to point that out. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) Jul 20, 2010 @ 02:56 (UTC) 02:56, July 20, 2010 (UTC)
- Colored manga image being preferable is based on the the thought that both being still frames, the original source is preferable to anime adaptation. Though there are some cases where this doesn't apply if the actually does a good job with animation. SimAnt 03:41, July 20, 2010 (UTC)
- This rule seems to have developed rather naturally due to some terrible animation in the anime. It also ties in with the whole "the manga is the original source" thing. --ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 08:50, July 20, 2010 (UTC)
- Despite it standing in the image policy "Also, colored manga images without text, are preferable to anime images unless they disrupt the flow of the page. " by the end of the "Image Quality" section, that isn't really the point, I think. What I was wondering was whether pictures of the characters should be from the manga or the anime, since now, it variates. Personally I also think anime would be better as the current ones do somewhat disrupt the flow of the pages. --89.160.10.177 (talk) 20:53, July 20, 2010 (UTC)
