Hey everyone! I was wondering whether there was any solid evidence that Kakashi used to be an ANBU squad captain. I know there's a scene in the Naruto Movie: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow, and that he has an ANBU tattoo, but is there any other scenes in the anime that show him in ANBU gear?Fieldxscarecrow 22:06, 8 October 2008 (UTC)fieldxscarecrow
- It is confirmed that he is in the ANBU thanks to Tenzo but I think in the second Shippuden opening, there is another scene of him in ANBU and at the end of a shippuden episode, I think Yamato shows us Kakashi (ANBU) with his dogs. ~Kakashi Namikaze (talk) 11:10, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
In the episode of shippuuden number 35 when Kakashi is in the hospital and tenzo, sunade an shisune enter in the left arm of Kakashi you can look Kakashi`s anbu tattoo.
Well, I could only say that his oufit tells it all. His mask that we could not see his true face tells of a secret and hidden past... That's just my opinion... Not based on facts.. Yeah when he was at the hospital and when Sai was introduced, Sai said he was fables in ROOT...
In Shippuden, Yamato admits several times that he served under Kakashi in ANBU and even refers to him as "Senpai" repeatedly. I would say this is conclusive evidence, personally. (Furthermore, a shinobi as skilled as Kakashi, the Copy Ninja, surely would have served in ANBU if Sai did!).

kakashi is a very skill ninja he took the chunin test when he was six, he is almost as skill as Itachi, in fact if kakashi where a real uchija he will surely surpass Itachi. About hes mask my bestfrind told me that kakashi had a sister that gave him the mask for his birthday an a moth later they both went to a mision and she died so he put it as a memory.
