There are some terms used in the Japanese version of the series, that have English equivalent translations or meanings. Some of these are translated in the English series, and some are left with the same term name used in the Japanese version. While there are cases where both forms will be used in the English dub, I feel that if a term is commonly used in it's Japanese form, even if the English translation is used at some points we should use the Japanese form because it is used in both, and works a bit better with the original and at the same time what people commonly hear.

For this I'm talking about terms like Kunoichi which would be translated into Female Ninja. And Shinobi which in English we'd use Ninja. If the dub uses terms like Kunoichi and Shinobi at any common point in time. We should use those forms instead of the direct translation. Of course we'll document their meaning using the translation template on the articles.

Yes, I do feel that we should also copy articles like Wikipedia:Kunoichi and alter them to fit the Naruto universe. And that they would have redirects from the English translation. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) current discussion Nov 18, 2007 @ 06:17 (UTC)

I would like to point out that the English dub has been very bad about this. I've heard the term Kunoichi and Shinobi at least a few times in the English translation. I personally would use the original terms simply because they sort of fit. EDIT: I missed to point this out: They switch from using Shinobi, Ninja, Female Ninja, Kunoichi, ect. Almost like they can't really make up their minds.----

What about creating equipments like Shuriken, Kunai, Makibishi...? --22:29, 18 November 2007 (UTC) —This unsigned comment was made by 201.12.118.13 (talkcontribs) .

Yup, those are good to be added. Of course we'll convert them to work as something in-universe. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) current discussion Nov 19, 2007 @ 00:37 (UTC)
