The jutsu/tools bug is rearing up its ugly head again. Genma Shiranui now has no jutsu. What exactly is being done to address this?--Karunyan (talk) 10:50, May 25, 2013 (UTC)

That's not something that can be fixed in our end. Simant does his best to get the lists working through whatever bugs it has upstream. As I understand, the current coding is the one that causes the least amount of errors. The reason FTG isn't showing up in Genma's infobox is because the technique appears in both manga and anime, and so far, he's only a user in the manga. Assuming the bug is still there when it happens, FTG will appear in the infobox once we can list him as an anime user as well. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 18:58, May 25, 2013 (UTC)
I think the problems is that wikia left an old version of the database from a previous version of smw before they split the smw database and the mw database up. Sometimes they code could be attempting to get data from that, but it doesn't have the same data structure as the newer version with property type record. — SimAnt 19:29, May 25, 2013 (UTC)

Adding two media for a jutsu's user

Genma uses FTG in both the manga and in a game. How do I add that? There really should be a Help page for how to add stuff to Infoboxes.--Karunyan (talk) 14:55, May 26, 2013 (UTC)

If a character uses a technique in either manga or anime, that takes precedence over movie and games. A character only has the game or movie discriminated in the technique's infobox if the character has not used them in either manga or anime. Just to be pedantic, between game and movie, what takes precedence? What I mean is, if a character uses a technique in a game and in a movie but not in the anime or manga, should it be "movie only" or "game only"?--Karunyan (talk) 16:54, May 26, 2013 (UTC)
Not quite sure. I'm certain that there is a technique somewhere that fits this criteria. Only one I can think at the moment is Eight Trigrams Sixty Four Palms by Hinata, but I don't recall how that's listed. My guess would be movie, since that is technically closer to the anime than a video game, but don't quote me on that. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 17:34, May 26, 2013 (UTC)
