::Putting in some details that were left out, the button Upload is called "Upload file" (located in the box labeled "Toolbox." Found [http://naruto.wikia.com/wiki/Special:Upload here]. Also, the image name for when you are putting the image on one of the Wiki pages '''MUST''' match the name you gave the image '''EXACTLY'''. I.e. If an image is called ''ITachi_MANGEkyou.JPG'', your image name for the wiki page must be ''ITachi_MANGEkyou.JPG''. It is a crazy rule, but it is what it is.

Also, for forums, it would be useful to use the <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki> code (just put <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki> by itself) so that people know who you are. If you are not logged in an account (it is free registration and use), the name that pops up would be your IP... Which is not a happy thing when it comes to evil people. --[[User:Dubtiger|Dubtiger]] 13:22, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

Hey how do i upload a pic and put it on a characters page?

It's actually quite simple, here's a stepwise plan:
  1. Find a suitable screenshot (Wikipedia is a best source, AnimeGalleries and similar sites are ok too).
  2. Scale it down if it's too big (having around 500px is more than enough), do not crop unless it's the only way.
  3. Go to Special:Upload, browse to select your file, rename it well ("Sharingan_Mangekyo_Itachi.jpg" is very good, "OMGWTFBBQ20070807.JPG" is not).
  4. Choose the license (mostly it will be "tv screenshot" if it's a usual screencap, "video screenshot" if it's a DVD screencap, or "movie screenshot" if it's from a movie).
  5. Click on upload. Then click on edit and add a so called "fair use rationale" like this one (taken from Image:Sakura Shippuden.jpg):
{{Fair use rationale
	| Description = Low resolution screenshot with [[Sakura Haruno]] as a [[chunin]]
	| Source = [http://media.shippuden.net/screens/ Naruto Shippūden episode 1]
	| Portion = Naruto Shippūden series by Masashi Kishimoto
	| Purpose = illustration of the depicted character
	| Resolution = reduced to 500 px wide
	| Replaceability = only by a similar screenshot with the same license status
}}
6.   Go to the character page and write something like this in the beginning:
[[Image:Your Image Name.jpg|thumb|250px|right|Named Character doing stuff]]
And voila! --Radaghast 12:01, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
Putting in some details that were left out, the button Upload is called "Upload file" (located in the box labeled "Toolbox." Found here. Also, the image name for when you are putting the image on one of the Wiki pages MUST match the name you gave the image EXACTLY. I.e. If an image is called ITachi_MANGEkyou.JPG, your image name for the wiki page must be ITachi_MANGEkyou.JPG. It is a crazy rule, but it is what it is.

Also, for forums, it would be useful to use the ~~~~ code (just put ~~~~ by itself) so that people know who you are. If you are not logged in an account (it is free registration and use), the name that pops up would be your IP... Which is not a happy thing when it comes to evil people. --Dubtiger 13:22, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
