Because this hasn't been formally discussed: what is the desired purpose of images in chapter articles? The current practice is to only use images when they are separate from the rest of the chapter, be it a color spread or a single B&W page. Admittedly, this is the current practice because it's the one I prefer and so never bothered to upload other images when I made all of the chapter articles. The second option is to upload whatever page the chapter title appears on, which amounts to uploading an image for the purpose of duplicating what is in the first sentence and in the infobox.
This was briefly discussed when chapter articles were being worked on, and I've been citing the "current practice" in edit summaries whenever I remove images that don't fit my preference. Since I am not the center of the universe, what do other prefer? ~SnapperTo 05:14, December 28, 2010 (UTC)
