In chapter 510, Tobi and Konan speak of the "power of the six paths". Tobi declares that "he possess 2 of the 6 paths" and calls nagato the "3rd". Does "The Six Paths" actually refer to six powers/bloodlines including Mokuton, Sharingan and Rinnegan? The only mention I could find on this site was on chapter 510: http://naruto.wikia.com/wiki/An_Unexpected_Kinjutsu!! Is all this the result of a gross translation error, has no one noticed this, or is it just too vague to conclude upon?--188.182.151.47 (talk) 14:42, December 8, 2011 (UTC)

I'm assuming it's people that have awakened/attained the Rinnegan. Madara/Tobi[both] are referred to as the Second of the Six Paths and Nagato is the Third of the Six Paths which would make the Rikudo Sennin the First.--Cerez365Hyūga Symbol 14:45, December 8, 2011 (UTC)
He said he possessed 2 paths, though, not that he was the second. Besides, while Rinnegan is the most exclusive, why would it be called the "power of the six paths" when Sharingan and Mokuton are also shards of the Sage' power? The 1st Hokage's power seems just as powerful, as it includes 1) Mokuton, 2) the sealing of tailed beasts and 3) enhancement of the power of Sharingan. (It let Danzō use Shisui's hypnotism once a day when it, according to c550, can normally be used only once a decade. The way I understand the story, it is also necessary for using Izanagi.)--188.182.151.47 (talk) 09:58, December 9, 2011 (UTC)
It was an error

It was a mistranslation. Our resident translator translated it correctly for us. Tobi was referring to Nagato as the Third of the Six Paths and [himself] as the Second.--Cerez365Hyūga Symbol 12:59, December 9, 2011 (UTC)
