So, I was visiting the Avatar Wiki to see if there were any Legend of Korra news, and I came across this. Long story short, if Wikia considers that we are a wiki most likely to be frequented by children, in order to comply with federal law, anonymous editing will be blocked in the name of children protection come July 1st. I'm not making this up. If that's the case, we'll probably hear from them soon. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 00:25, June 21, 2013 (UTC)

I just woke up and am currently unable to process any of this... so what does this mean to us?--Elveonora (talk) 11:33, June 21, 2013 (UTC)

Like Simant mentioned earlier, there'll be less IP contributors that become users.  Teppei Old Uzumaki Symbol talk 12:56, June 23, 2013 (UTC)

expecting this to be implemented quickly. Dan.Faulkner (talk) 12:59, June 23, 2013 (UTC)

This doesn't seem like something that we can do something about though because worse comes to worse, the entire wikia might be shut down. And I don't think Wikia is the "part is greater than the whole" type of place. If IP users are blocked from editing, they may do one of two things: they'll create an account- hopefully they're sensible enough to up their birth dates- or two they'll never contribute because they don't want an account. Still this all seems out of our hands doesn't it? --Cerez365Hyūga Symbol(talk) 13:22, June 23, 2013 (UTC)
