I don't know what other peoples views on this are so i thought i'd ask but i was just wondering... when you have a look at the character list on Narutopedia anyone who is dead has a (deceased) next to their name respectively but with Naruto very far through the story as it is... is it wise to do this? For example say someone who has just found out about naruto and is watching it and is only at say episode 50 ect and they realise that Jiraiya, Asuma Orochimaru ect are dead... won't it kinda ruin Naruto in a way for them? when all they was looking for is i don't know Zabuza's profile or something? sorry if this has been asked but i reckon we should only have deceased on the characters profile because it can spoil fans experience if you know what i mean? sorry if this has either been asked or is a pointless topic thanks for reading :) Jonoridge 20:25, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
- This wiki is an encyclopedia. It tries to offer as much information as it knows about Naruto. It is not a Naruto Watching/Reading Guide that only introduces the first parts of a ninja's life. And I don't prefer (deceased) in the "Age" field in infoboxes, I would rather there was a seperate "Status" field for that. ~Kakashi Namikaze (talk) 21:21, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
I think it is wise...I mean it at least tells which characters are dead.--18.104.22.168 22:50, 3 September 2008 (UTC)Black Tom Boy Girl
I think that narutopedia should post on their main page, spoilers warning.
- "Though as you browse, do note that as we cover everything about the Naruto Series, the wiki will be filled with spoilers, we'll tag areas of articles that suddenly move into spoilers, but expect to find information about events you haven't seen yet." It's been noted on the front page for months, perhaps even a year already. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) current discussion Oct 29, 2008 @ 02:32 (UTC)
There is a spoiler warning in small text on the main page. Though, I as well would like a separate field for whether they're deceased, as it's nice to know at what age they died. :/ VermillionKitsune 02:22, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
- New infobox has a separate deceased parameter, it gives an easy and standard way to specify the alive, deceased, or presumed deceased states. It could be tweaked to allow an age if people think it's a good idea. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) current discussion Nov 4, 2008 @ 02:54 (UTC)
