Using the seal implemented on his [[Flying Thunder God Kunai]], Minato can form a barrier that will teleport away incoming attacks directed at it. He can divert away attacks as large and powerful as a [[Tailed Beast Ball]] from the [[Nine-Tailed Demon Fox]]. Once the attack is warped away, Minato has to direct it to another location.

The Flying Thunder God: Guiding Thunder is a space-time barrier (時空間結界, jikūkan kekkai) technique.

Usage

This barrier technique incorporates the use of the Flying Thunder God formula to erect a barrier space capable of warping away anything that comes into contact with it. The subject of the technique is then directed to another location marked by the user’s formula.[2][3] The barrier has proven to be powerful enough to warp away techniques as destructive as a Tailed Beast Ball.[4][5]

Trivia

  • The last hand seal that Minato makes when he uses this technique resembles one of the Kuji-in Mudras: Zai () mantra.
