Fate (因縁, Innen) is episode 140 of the Naruto: Shippūden anime.

Synopsis

Tobi tells Sasuke about the fate of the Uchiha clan and about Itachi's life. He also tells Sasuke about his past and the Uchiha clan's rivalry with the Senju clan. He tells that in reality, the Uchiha clan were not trusted and thus spied on by Konoha. Madara tells him that the Third Hokage and the three highest council members from Konoha knew the truth about Itachi Uchiha. Sasuke hears that Itachi was a spy for Konoha, planted into the Uchiha clan, who were under supervision by the ANBU. Sasuke realises that Itachi wasn't a cold hearted person after all.
