E-Rank is the lowest ranking for techniques. These include techniques that are learned in the Ninja Academy along with a few other techniques. These are very basic techniques learned by Academy Students. All Academy graduates are able to use techniques in this category. Examples are:
Academy Techniques:
- Body Replacement Technique
- Clone Technique
- Transformation Technique
- Rope Escape Technique/Escaping Skill (All graduates but Naruto)
Other:
- Sexy Technique (Used by Naruto and Konohamaru only)
- One Thousand Years of Death (Known to be only used by Kakashi and Naruto)
E-Rank is not considered a mission rank. D-Rank is the easiest mission to complete. And also Academy Students are not able to go on missions, which is another reason why E-Rank cannot be a mission ranking.
