Sasuke performs a Chidori in the air (not in mid-air). He moves extremely fast in a zig-zag pattern, such that he leaves afterimages. He attacks the opponent with only one strike. This technique, combined with Sasuke's speed, makes it extremely difficult, if not, impossible to avoid. It looks similar in appearance to the Lightning Blade: Single Slash from Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 3. [1]
