A chakra blade is a weapon made from special metal that absorbs the user's chakra characteristics and exhibits power based on the user's technique. Asuma Sarutobi, Sora and Shikamaru Nara use techniques that require the use of a chakra blades like the Flying Swallow technique and Shadow Imitation Shuriken Technique.

• Asuma taught Naruto Uzumaki the fundamentals of the wind nature with these blades during Naruto's Wind Release training.
• Chakra Blades seen in the series include Asuma Sarutobi's Chakra Blades, which Shikamaru inherited after Asuma's death, as well as Sora's Chakra Enhanced Triple-Bladed Claw.
