Black Chakra Armor Prototype

Chakra Armor is a unique type of armor that drains chakra from ninjutsu and genjutsu while at the same time amplifies the wearer's chakra. It is to be noted that a prototype of black chakra armor was used by Dotō Kazahana.

This being said, the armor is also seen blocking and defending against thrown projectiles which require no chakra in the least, rising the question of what exatly their armor is based on. Perhaps there is a weaker ring of chakra set around them, only strong enough to block projectiles, while the armor obsorbs the blunt of the stronger ninjutsu attacks.
