Chōhan (チョウハン) is a gambler from the Land of Fire.
Personality[]
Chōhan seems to enjoy gambling a great deal going as far as to wager information in exchange for money should his opponent lose to him.
Appearance[]
He has brown hair styled into an afro and dark-coloured eyes. He wears a simple, black, loose-fitting kimono with white rimmings.
Part I[]
Search for Tsunade[]
While gambling with Jiraiya, he makes a bet in return for information about Tsunade. He almost won, which would have cost Jiraiya 1000 ryō, but Naruto Uzumaki's Rasengan practice allows Jiraiya to get the info for free by interfering with their game.[2]
Trivia[]
- "Chōhan" has several meanings. When written in katakana, it names the raccoon butterflyfish while "重犯" describes a "felony/felon". However, most importantly for this character, when written as "丁半", "Chōhan" stands for "odd and even numbers", a "dice game" or "gambling" in general.
