Kabuto uses small snakes to execute the process of recreation and multiplication of living being's cells to recreate a clone of such a being. But the technique requires the DNA of the target, Kabuto comparing the process to a viral infection presumably due to its fastness. The spring water produced by The Hole appears to catalyse and speed up the recreation process because of the large "life force" flowing through it.

Kabuto used this technique to recreate the body of the Akatsuki member Hidan, controlling him with a special talisman much like those who are brought back by Impure World Reincarnation.
