@Kirin I never said I didn't like it. It was fine. I just said it wasn't great. To me at least. I explained why, as simple as that is all.
Here were eight questions/suggestions I came up with to start a discussion-
1. Did it live up to your expectations?
2. What was your favorite/least favorite moments?
3. What about the fight made it great/okay/terrible?
4. How has the pacing and length affected your view on the fight?
5. Judge the action- as a fight itself, what did you think about it?
6. Judge the emotional impact- how did Naruto and Sasuke's interactions effect you?
7. On a scale from 1-10, how would you rate this fight as a whole?
8. Leave whatever else you want to say about the final battle of the Naruto series!

Here are my full thoughts on Naruto and Sasuke's final battle!
1. Personally, yes- the fight did live up to my expectations. For years, I had imagined what would happen in their final conflict, and almost everything I had thought of appeared in some form or fashion during this fight- in fact, a lot of it blew my expectations out of the water. Granted, that is because they have evolved so much from what I initially imagined...
2. There are so many amazing moments throughout the course of this battle that it really is difficult to pick a favorite moment. However, since I do have to pick, my favorite would be when they finally run out of chakra and they result to strictly taijutsu. All of that was amazing. While I don't necessarily have any real least favorite moments, I instead have some sort of regret, for lack of a better word. Looking throughout the fight, I do wish that we could have seen a bit more from Naruto's Asura Mode and Sasuke's Tailed Beast-Enhanced Susanoo, along with some other extended scenes from other moments of the fight as well.
3. Looking back on it, this isn't necessarily a good question (but I won't remove it, as a few people have already answered this). Just keep reading in order to see why I think this is a great fight.
4. Given the allotted time, I think both the pacing and length were perfect. For starters, let's look at the pacing. As a whole, Kishi did an excellent job with how he handled the progression of the fight. It started out slowly, then gradually built it's way up to them at their strongest level, and finally finished with them out of chakra and resorting to straight out hand-to-hand combat. As far as the length goes... I do wish that it was longer. If I had only one complaint to give, it would be the length. I always wanted their final fight to be 10-15 chapters minimum. Instead, their final conflict was only about 7 chapters long (from 692-698; yes, I consider the start of the fight at 692 because not only is this where the battle of ideals started, but Sasuke also technically attacked Naruto when he performed the Chibaku Tensei, which started pulling Naruto up as well, but he managed to escape). However, despite this, I do think it was handled well and we got a lot of greatness with the time we were given.
5. The action was absolutely incredible, and based on just an action standpoint, this is probably the best fight we've ever seen in the manga. It literally had everything, ranging from basic combat to nuclear explosions. There's not a lot to talk about when it comes to talking about purely action, but I want to convey everything I loved about the action aspect of this fight since this is my full, detailed thoughts on the fight. Therefore, allow me to summarize my favorite action moments of this battle:
Pretty awesome, right?
6. The emotions I felt during this entire final battle were so varied and so incredible to feel. Throughout this fight, I felt a variety of emotions that varied from excitement, to sadness, to happiness, etc. Kishi did an amazing job with not only making the audience feel certain ways throughout this fight, but he also succeeded in bringing Naruto and Sasuke's relationship to the forefront of the story once again, after it had been neglected for a long time due to the length of this War. There was a time when I forgot that they had such a deep connection. However, all throughout this fight, Naruto's constant lectures to Sasuke about their friendship is what reminded me of all this. Despite that though, I don't think the most emotional moments occurred until this very chapter, where we finally learn just how Sasuke truly felt about Naruto. Their relationship came full circle with this chapter. From this, we see just how powerful their friendship truly is, and that in the end, this basically proves that anything can be overcome if you have a really good friend by your side. I'll elaborate more on this with #8...
7. On a scale of 1-10, I would have to give this fight (call me a crazy fanboy- I don't care!) a 10/10! This was just everything I've been wanted to see for the longest time, and I just can't get over how happy I was during this entire time period. Despite the issues I've mentioned, I feel like the good overwhelmingly overshadow the bad. It's not often that something that's been hyped up for so long actually meets expectations- for that reason, I feel almost obligated to give it this score, and I feel completely justified about it... for the most part.
8. I want to use this to basically just give my concluding thoughts on this fight, as well as mention whatever I failed to mention above.
One of the greater aspects of this fight is that it managed to encompass two completely conflicting ideas- one is that it dealt with the fate of the world (obviously this is the larger one when scaling the two), while the other dealt with Naruto and Sasuke's personal friendship, and Naruto's determination to finally change Sasuke once and for all. It is very difficult to blend these two entirely different concepts together and pull it off successfully- IMO, Kishi managed to do this almost flawlessly. As I have complained in the past, I was disappointed that Naruto didn't have an answer as to how he would ensure peace, while Sasuke did. However, now I realize that Naruto didn't need to answer to Sasuke, and the fact that Naruto's emotional feelings of friendship were the linchpin that managed to stop Sasuke as opposed to an actual logical plan actually fit Naruto's character perfectly, and I think this is the best way for Naruto to have won this conflict. Likewise, Naruto has always been someone who works with others to move forward a particular goal. Therefore, it makes sense that he would want to work together with others in order to come up with a plan of peace as opposed to Naruto solely coming up with a plan that plans to implement with no criticism of others.
In all honesty, I will always have a lot to say about this. I could probably talk about this forever without getting bored (which I why I want to see what you guys also think). So let me just conclude it with this final statement. Everything worked about this fight- I was satisfied with all of it. Ranging from the outstanding action to the amazing interaction between Naruto and Sasuke that just cements how strong their bond is, this was truly an amazing final battle for the Naruto series, and is potentially my favorite fight in the entire series. This is what I had been waiting to see for so long, and in most aspects, I was not disappointed in the least...
@Kirin, you my friend, are a man totally worth to read, ur optimistic view of everything lights up this darkened wikia, kudos for you.

Thanks! I'm trying to look at the positives of the situation. I always said that if it were less than ten chapters, I would be disappointed. Which it was, and so I am. However, I still can't get over how well I think it was handled. Of the seven chapters, I gave five of them (692; 695-698) a 11+/10 over on the discussions I do on Naruto Answers. Overall, while there were some issues, I still love this fight to death. Of course, it's possible I could just be caught up in the moment- we'll see in a year or two...
Maybe not so long, considering how close is the Madara's revival to the last battle maybe just 8 months, i just dont see any vitual posibility to make filler arcs at this moment, also i share ur opinion about this last volume, u took the words off my mouth Kirin-San.
Here's my review of the questions posed, I'm sure someone will want to crucify me for my opinion on something.
1. Did it live up to your expectations? Nope
2. What was your favorite/least favorite moments? Favorite moments, anything that was not one of the following, flashback, explosion, rasengan, chidori, susano'o, talk/dr. phil no jutsu. So, I guess in the end, about 8 panels of ACTUAL fighting like men.
3. What about the fight made it great/okay/terrible? great - that its over. Ok - that there was actual fighting. Terrible - 'Now I'll show you my true form!' trope.
4. How has the pacing and length affected your view on the fight? Each chapter that passed was a fight, I had less and less hope of character development and story being rectified/clarified/justified/endified.
5. Judge the action- as a fight itself, what did you think about it? It was Goku/Gohan's final clash with (enter DBZ villain of your choice).
6. Judge the emotional impact- how did Naruto and Sasuke's interactions effect you? It was kind of lame to find out in the end that Sasuke was being a dick just because he envied Naruto or found him "cool" in any way. Imagine how much senseless violence, destroyed nature, faceless ninja extras/stuntmen, and villages could have been saved over the course of this story if people just said what they honestly felt BEFORE destroying everything and blowing each other's arms off.
7. On a scale from 1-10, how would you rate this fight as a whole? 1. It was probably one of if not the worst fight in the series. I truly and sincerely mean that. But it was too be expected after this 3 year build up of a "ninja" war where about 5% of the soldiers are WMDs faffing about altering the landscape with super powerful HUGE flashy "ninja" moves. To give you an idea of a better fight, I'd have said Zabuza vs. Kakashi. You can even do the "BIG" fights ok too if you don't do them over the top, i.e. Naruto/Bunta vs. Gaara/Shukaku or Hiruzen vs. Orochimaru and the cadaver crew.
8. Leave whatever else you want to say about the final battle of the Naruto series!
I am glad its over. I don't mean that in a negative way either. My favorite series have always been ones that are short and sweet. They tend to just have enough of everything. Super long anime/manga tend to milk stuff for ¥¥¥/$$$ and they suffer. While I never read it, I've heard several people I've talked to say that Bleach should have ended at x point, Inuyasha should have ended after Kikyo died/ Naraku was "defeated", and that One piece is just a joke.
I personally felt it could have ended on a great note after the Pain arc.
Naruto can exit the stage FAR FAR more gracefully than many of its peers, and THAT is saying a lot.
1. I wasn't looking forward to the fight as I felt it had been built up way too much and didn't really make a lot of sense for it to happen, the fight itself wasn't horrible but I'd hoped that Naruto and Sasuke would use more new techniques especially given Sasuke bragging about his Rinnegan.
2. Favourite moment was Naruto creating clones with Kurama avatars around them.
3. Sasuke revealing that he wanted to kill Naruto out of jealousy
4. Pacing didn't really change my view on the fight
5. It was pretty boring since it was just them throwing their strongest attacks at each other with no real strategy.
7. 4, because it didn't really seem impressive compared with many of the fights of the war.

Poor forth great ninja war arc, it is just the most badly treated arc in the hole series.
Other than that this the funniest comment i've ever heard(Not against your opinion, Im very mixed with it.
On two hands, the energy, of all that happened on that entire battle, gets a clapped of a giant T-Rex, but at the same time, and don't get me wrong Naruto vs Sasuke maybe the most hyped rivalry in history, but this fight wasn't really all that hyped up to be, which is very strange, a rivalry more hyped than anything else has the most unhyped fight ever in history for a rivalry.
And i hope in my story that is currently being written, i greatly hope you like the rivarly of what i shall bring towards to viewers, cause it's a dark one.
Really where forth great shinbi war arc take a hard drive was that one area.
It was like as if i was playing Pokemon Gold and Silver.
all the 6 beasts-Elite 1
Juubi-Elite 2
Obito(Ten tails)-Elite 3
Madara(Ten Tails)-Elite 4
Kaguya Ootsutsuki-Champion
Sasuke-Pokemon master/Red
That's too me what it was, no breaks, which is awesome, but outrageously long!
Which maybe what really hurts this arc, not because of the first half, that one was actually pretty good, if you ask me.
But the other half, didn't really need to be an other half!
Just like what Gigguk says, it doesn't matter how good you are as a writer, you make it that long to write a story, would really mess with the pacing of your story.
Heck Frieza from Dragon ball didn't even take this long, Cell or even the Spongbog squarepants starfish Patrick(If you know whom i really mean) never went this far.
And you know what's really hard to believe from this?
Is that it's all one night! On one area, one battle, just one battle!
Sure there were alot of fights, but it's just one battle, that took amazingly long, to lengths that make me feel like Kishimoto slapped me on the face
2 years of reading Naruto, all on one area!
I can't believe it, that's amazing, outstandingly great and awful at the same time!
Great and bad job Kishimoto, great and bad.
Your the George Lucas of the Anime industry.
And great fight between Naruto vs Sasuke.
My opinions on this fight, greatly matters on this arc, because of how much this story arc has lead to this moment and fight.
First half-Not bad, if you ask me, thought it was fine and nice, maybe weaker than it's previous arcs but it's really not a drag.
Second half-Did not ever, and i mean ever need to be a second half, seriously all on one area, you gotta be kidding me!
