I'm kinda surprised that nobody asked this question yet (to my knowledge) but its something that I have been thinking about since the Rasenshuriken training.

Going by the databook, at least some, if not all, medical ninjutsu is Yang Release, since some medics (Tsunade, Rin) can only use Yang and not Yin. Problem is there's a medical ninjutsu with Yin right in the name. Then again, this also can't be Yin Release going by the databook's logic.
The Yin seal doesn't do any actual healing, just a method to store massive amounts of chakra for more chakra intensive medical techniques. Also unless the name has the -ton portion to it, stated in the technique's description or part of a broad category of jutsu that has their elemental nature given like the Nara or Akimichi techs, its just that: a name. The reason why yin was used in the naming is probably do to the fact that the Yin in Naruto is mental energy, and a big part of the technique is having a quick analytical mind. You could even call it Mind Healing Would Destruction for the heck of it. Some jutsu names are symbolic rather than literal.

While Genjutsu=Yin and Medical jutsu = Yang is an easy way to categorize these, it's actually not impossible that there are jutsu that are opposite from what you expect e.g. Yin medical jutsu.

Just want to point out, "breathe life into form" doesn't always mean "Fix this broken bone".
While I can see the argument, as of now, there is no definitive or even logical deduction that medical ninjutsu is Yang Release.
In anime Ameno uses Medical Water Release XD Then it is Water release + Yang release ???
Anime is not canon. Besides we have Lightning Release: Lightning Illusion Flash of Lightning Pillar that is both yin and lightning release. Not a stretch that its opposite yang could be used with other elements as well.

If medical jutsu require Yang release, only if. But if so, then yeah, why not?
