Kakashi was good enough to be promoted to Jonin without a Sharingan, and he only got better with age. His chakra control is excellent and he's still decent at taijutsu. While he might not be able to go up against someone like Pain again, he's not an easy target by any means.
Maybe he'll get his other eye gouged out and get another Sharingan. We all know Obito's not gonna last much longer.
Without Sharingan, Kakashi's lost his place on this battlefield, sad to say. If he doesn't get both of Obito's Sharingan when he bites the dust, I will be disappoint(ed). :<

Well you will hopefully be disappointed. If Kakashi gets BOTH of Obito's sharingan, he'll drop dead in no time. If not, he'd had live the rest of his life with his eyes closed outside of battle. Don't be an idiot.

Okay, no. Kakashi kept his left eye closed to preserve chakra, yes. That doesn't mean he has to do it. This isn't part 1 where using his Sharingan for like 10 minutes puts him out of commission for a week (as it did after his first encounter with Zabuza). Heck, even at the beginning of Part 2, he kept his Sharingan active for an entire day against Naruto and Sakura. During the war, the darn thing has been open for several days straight (about 3-4, up until Madara took it). Furthermore, he would only have to close one eye again if he really needed to preserve chakra in a manner as he usually does (remember, it's actively using the Sharingan's myriad of abilities that puts the most strain on its wielder). I return the comment: Don't be an idiot.
Ok. First off, yes, Kakashi HAS to keep his eye closed to preserve chakra; that's why he always had his headband covering it. It started eating his reserves the moment he lifted his eyelid. You're right, it ISN'T part 1 anymore; Kakashi had trained himself to handle the eye power much more efficiently than prior to having to constantly fight S-Rank crooks, but he certainly couldn't keep it active for an entire day as you claim he could. Every time he has an opportunity in a battle, he closes his eye to keep himself from passing out later on. He doesn't just keep his eye open the whole time until the fight is over. Furthermore, the war has not been going on for 3-4 days straight; it's currently on it's second day and Kakashi most definitely didn't have his Sharingan active non-stop the entire time. Even during battle, he uses it as sparingly as possible. If he had Sharingan in both eyes, closing one eye at a time wouldn't make a difference because one eye would still be draining him 'til he dropped. He's not an Uchiha; his body isn't built to handle a dojutsu. New comment: Don't be a doodoo head.

I don't hate fillers. Some yes but in my opinion some are even more interesting or generally better than some of the arcs.

Kakashi's taijutsu is more than decent but than again he used the sharingan in most of his confrontations. But that allowed him to read their movements so he'd be able to react himself and pull off the attacks on his on doing.

He has basically no chakra left.

I didn't say Kakashi DIDN'T have to keep his eye closed to preserve more chakra, so let's not be stupid here. However, I don't think you realize just how much has changed since Part 1. Whenever Kakashi closes his eyes during battle, I've yet to see where it was for more than a few moments when he was, say, talking to a team mate. However, at the VERY beginning of Part 2, Tsunade specifically says he had been fighting Naruto and Sakura for an entire day, and Kakashi was using his eye the entire fight (he makes it plain at the very beginning of the fight that he couldn't take them lightly anymore), and didn't close it until Naruto tricked him into doing so during the night. Now, you seemed to have missed the obvious point and taken something out of context. You said that Kakashi would drop dead if he had both Sharingan active at the same time, or that he'd have to close both eyes the whole time. I pointed out to you that this is stupid because Kakashi could still preserve some chakra by simply keeping one Sharingan closed. He still be loosing some chakra, but he's shown he can keep a Sharingan active for extended periods of time. Further, it's use of the eye's more taxing abilities that are what truly tax Kakashi (just look at what happens when he rapid fires Kamui). Closing one eye would make a difference in terms of loosing less chakra. Of course, you miss the more obvious point that the two Sharingan are really for giving Kakashi relevance in the fight against Kaguya.
