As seen here: [1], the users of these forums have expressed unequivocal support in favor of having regulations implemented into the Versus Battle forum.
I'd like to throw in the rules that I personally use in the Versus Battles I make to become official:
- Opponents have no prior knowledge of each other's abilities.
- [2] - Prevents situations like this, where the outcome depends completely on whether or not the opponents have prior knowledge.
- No databook stats. Actual feats or substantiated speculation (be able to back up any claims) only.
- [3] - This is what happens when we go by databook stats > actual feats.
- Also, under "substantiated speculation", characters like Hamura and Sakumo Hatake can't be used in Versus Battles, since we've never seen them in combat and know little to nothing about their abilities.
- No cop-outs/oneshots.
- Moves like Kotoamatsukami that are hella OP and can end a fight instantly. It can still be used, just not as a one-hit kill.
That's my take. Here, take the opportunity to discuss any addition rules you'd like to be implemented, state any problems with those, and we'll run from there. Absolutely do try to keep this civil and above all else, don't turn this into another goddamn Databook validity thread.
