Ameyuri Ringo (林檎雨由利, Ringo Ameyuri) is one of the former members of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist.

Appearance

Ameyuri is relatively short in comparison with the other members of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist. She has long, light-coloured hair and, together with a forehead protector, she also wears a simple cloth around the head, distinctively tied at both sides so as the ends of the material protrude upwards, while the remainder of hair is allowed to flow downwards. She wears a loose, pin-striped long-sleeved shirt with a dark obi around the waist, black pants which get much looser near the ends, resembling hakama, and striped leg-warmers. Like all the other members of her generation of swordsmen, she wears bandages loosely tied around the neck.

Abilities

As one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, Ameyuri was one of the most powerful shinobi produced within Kirigakure. Her generation of swordsmen was even noted to be the strongest in the village's history. She was also capable of using Silent Killing, as seen when fighting the Third Division of the Allied Shinobi Forces while under the effect of Zabuza Momochi's Hiding in Mist Technique.

Kenjutsu

Ameyuri was evidently very skilled at utilising the Kiba, twin swords imbued with lightning, which are claimed to be the sharpest sword that were made, having the ability to cut through anything, by apparently functioning in a similar manner to Lightning Release-based chakra flow. Ameyuri uses the Kiba, in combination with agile spinning movements and sweeps through his enemy-crowed while rotating around herself, hitting all enemies around her.

Part II

Shinobi World War Arc

The previous generation of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist reincarnated.

Amidst the battle with the Third Division the reincarnated previous generation of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist are summoned by Pakura and Gari, under Kabuto Yakushi's instruction, with the intention of overwhelming the opposition. Amongst their number is Ameyuri, who after being futilely bombarded by various techniques, retrieves Kiba from within a scroll in Mangetsu Hōzuki's possession. Entering the fray whilst concealed by a thick mist, Ameyuri begins a silent massacre, masterfully dispatching several shinobi as electricity crackles around the blades. With Zabuza Momochi's defeat, the mist clears, exposing Ameyuri to the enemy. By the time Kakashi Hatake and Might Guy departed for Naruto Uzumaki's location the following day, she had been sealed by the Third Division.

Trivia

• Ameyuri (雨由利) roughly means "beneficial rain", and Ringo (林檎) means "apple"; like all members of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen, the surname is derived from a type of produce.
• Due to Ameyuri's androgynous appearance it is unknown whether the character is male or female. However given that the suffix "-yuri" is common among females, Ameyuri is considered to be female until proven otherwise.
