Sakura arrives with Chiyo, thinking that the damage Naruto caused while senseless was caused by Deidara. Amused at the pummelling he got, Deidara decides to flee as he is at a big disadvantage. However, he finds [[Team Guy]] has located him thanks to [[Neji]]'s [[Byakugan]]. Deidara manages to hold off Team guy with just a mouth-held kunai, but decides that he cannot escape them. Finding his clay bird, Deidara bites part of it off and begins chewing it up. Team Kakashi arrives, informing Team Guy of the danger Deidara's attacks pose. Announcing the unveiling of his "ultimate work of art" is about to happen, Deidara swells up and [[Suicide Bombing Clone|seemingly self-detonates]]. However, the explosion is countered by Kakashi's [[Kamui]], who is able to warp it to a [[Other dimension|different dimension]] just in time. Meanwhile, [[Sakura]] fails to bring [[Gaara]] back to life, and the group mourns Gaara's death.
