Synopsis
"Your destiny is to lose against me," Neji says. He then puts up on his forehead protector to cover the seal. "Okay, I don't know how it feels to lose your dad, but that has nothing to do with destiny!" Naruto says. Neji only says that it was hopeless. Activating his Byakugan, he charges at Naruto and takes a direct hit at Naruto. He flies out at some feet and lies down there. "Proctor, it's over." Neji then starts to walk away. "You're a failure, and you can't change that."
"Don't walk away." Neji hears a voice behind him. Naruto struggles to stand up. "I won't run. I'll never give up. Because, that's my nindo, my ninja way!" Neji smirks and says that he heard those words before from Hinata. "I won't run from an idiot that talks about destiny." Neji then says to stop lecturing him. "People were born with a destiny and they can't deny it." He thinks back when Hizashi was talking to him when he says that he can't die since he's the most talented Hyūga clan in the branch family. "If I only was born seconds earlier than your uncle." Hizashi pats Neji in the head. Neji looks down and then points at Naruto. "You don't know how it's like to have a seal branded in your head!"
Naruto pants a lot and takes consideration for what Neji said. He has a flashback in which he was young and his shadow forms the Nine-Tailed Fox. There was a crowd in front of Naruto, and they were criss-crossing their shoulders. Naruto seems to be crying, and the background changes to where the Fox gives Naruto an evil glance.
After the flashback, Naruto immediately opens his eyes. "Oh yeah, I know how it feels like." Neji gives a stern look at Naruto. "So what? Big deal!" Naruto says. Angry from what he said, Neji activates his Byakugan to give Naruto a glare. "You worthless little…" Naruto continued. "Man, you think you've got troubles? I've got news for you Neji, you're not the only special one around here." Naruto then shouted at Neji. "Hinata too! You know! She tried so hard to get here, and all she wanted to do is to gain your respect, even if it meant to kill her! And I thought your destiny was to serve the Head Family! NOT beat it to a bloody pulp!"
The scene changes where Kabuto, still wearing his ANBU disguise, was healing Hinata. Kiba watches and was amazed to see what happens. The color is returning to her face! Whoa, these ANBU Black Ops, they can do about anything. Kabuto then says that she'll be alright.
"*cough* *cough*" Neji notices and says: "Hmph! I blocked all 64 chakra points. How can you even fight!? It's your destiny to lose to me, just as the same as Hinata and you." Naruto just says that they won't know until the match is over. "You think that Byakugan of yours can see everything, right? Including everybody's weaknesses." Neji just says that he was right and also says to Naruto to try to prove him wrong. Naruto then agrees. Yeah, if I could only have some chakra. Man, I never felt this empty before when I was training with the pervy sage…AH! Naruto has a flashback in which Jiraiya says that he has two types of chakra. "When your main chakra is completely depleted, then your other chakra can come in and you're free to use it." That's it! I just got to use the Nine-Tailed Fox chakra. Naruto then closes his eyes. Okay stinkin' fox, if you're there, give me your strength!
"Proctor this has gone long enough! I'll go for the kill if you don't mind!" Genma just agrees to it and thinks Geez. Neji then sees Naruto doing a hand seal. "Ha! It's useless, your chakra points are all pressed!" Naruto then shouts out to use the Nine-Tailed fox's chakra. He then thinks back when he told Hinata that he was going to beat Neji. He also thinks back when Lee blocked him from confronting Neji and said that he can only verse him by a match. Neji then asks Naruto. "Why fight a futile battle trying to defy your destiny?" Naruto replies by saying. "Because people call me a failure…I'm going to prove them wrong!" Out of nowhere, chakra comes out and the rocks start to float. Blood disappears from Naruto's mouth.
Neji immediately activates his Byakugan to see what was going on. Impossible! Where is he getting all of this chakra!? Neji takes a look at Naruto's chakra supply, and sees that red chakra was streaming through his body, regenerating Naruto. The chakra then makes a demon face at Neji. Taken by the glare, he step backs. Or, is it even chakra at all?
From the audience, everyone seems to be shocked. Hiashi immediately knows what the chakra is, Tenten is in disbelief, Kabuto, Izumo and Kotetsu, the Kazekage, and Gaara are all shocked. The Third Hokage briefly looks, No question, it's the chakra of the Nine-Tailed Fox... But, when did this boy learn how to harness its strength? From the audience, they see orange, gleaming chakra from Naruto (nine-tails appear). "Here I come!" Naruto shouts.
The chakra then wraps around Naruto and makes a cloak of orange chakra around him. Amazing, this is the same feeling as I felt before. But, even more…! Naruto immediately disappears from where he was. Neji then looks around and finds Naruto behind him (in the air), holding some shuriken. Naruto throws them, and targets Neji. Neji readies himself, "ROTATION!" and spins around with chakra and stops the shurikens. He catches them and throws them at Naruto (who rebounds from the wall and charges at Neji) "Take this!" Naruto immediately disappeared again and the shuriken hit the stadium of the wall. "What's going on? His speed increased dramatically!"
Out of nowhere, Naruto comes right next to Neji and gets ready to punch. He misses and Neji throws him out, and holds a kunai. Naruto also holds a kunai and they throw it at each other. The kunai hits each other and they both catch it. They both jumped in the air, and clash with each other in the air with the kunai Knife. They both land at the same time. "Okay, you! I hear you like close combat, huh?" Naruto then charges at Neji. While he charges, he thinks of what Neji says. "You wanted to be Hokage? That's absurd." "Those shinobi that were Hokage, they were destined to become Hokage." "When a person is already born, their destiny has already been chosen."
Naruto was really close to Neji. "Look, I don't know anything of the Hyūga's destiny of hatred. But if it's really too much, then you don't have to do anything anymore!" Neji was shocked and was ready to use Rotation. The two kunai and chakra struck each other. "When I become Hokage, I'll change the Hyūga clan!" Erupting light covered them and an explosion occurred. Genma braced for cover, while everyone watches in shock. The two came out of the smoke and went back in. The explosion from the smoke cleared, and two holes were created from (and smoke billowed from the two holes). ‘'That shrimp, he pulled out a lot of chakra. That Hyūga kid must've been… Genma thought.
"Which one's Naruto?" Sakura asked. Ino says that she doesn't even know what happened. The smoke cleared from one hole and a hand comes out from it. Everyone watched to see who that hand was. From the hole, Neji appears from the hole. Tenten sighs in relief while everyone was in shock. That's the secret of Neji's Rotation. It not only blocks the person, but repels the chakra against him! And Naruto fell right into it. There isn't a genin alive who can beat Neji. But still, I've gotta give you credit Naruto...you came closer than anyone ever has. Neji limps to where Naruto's hole was and sees Naruto in there, unconscious. "Sorry, but this is reality. You're a failure, this match is over." Just when Neji said "over" the ground beneath Neji breaks and Neji looks down. Right in front of his face was a fist, Neji takes a direct hit from Naruto's punch and Neji lies sprawling in the floor. Naruto emerges from the ground and stands next to Neji. "I can't move!" Naruto's right hand (fingernails) was bleeding. The Naruto on the hole turned out to be a Shadow Clone and it disappeared. Incredible, even when he was injured, he still had the power to believe himself to change his own destiny. He understands that, and it comes to him. Genma thought.
"You quickly used Shadow Clone Jutsu and used as a decoy to deceive me. How careless of me." Neji said. Naruto pants and said: "For the record, I failed the graduation exam three times at the academy. At the final exam of the academy, there was always a jutsu that I just couldn't master. My clones were pathetic. That's right, I flunked the Clone Jutsu every time." Neji's eyes were wide open while everybody was tuned in. "So don't come whining to me about this destiny stuff. And stop trying to tell me you can't change what you are. You can do it too, because, unlike me, you're not a failure." Neji seems to take consideration. Genma raises his right hand and says, "The winner is Naruto Uzumaki!" At the same time, the crowd cheers and a bird takes flight from the stadium.
